Target Take Charge of Education

Do you ever shop at Target? Did you know that Waterbury can benefit from your everyday purchases?

We've discovered another terrific way to raise funds for our school. It's super-easy, and all you have to do is use your Target® Visa® or Target® Check Card. Waterbury will receive a percentage of the amount of each purchase you make in the form of a cash donation from Target through the Take Charge of Education® program.

It's easy. First, do you have a Target RedCard? Just visit Target's Take Charge of Education Web page or call 1-800-316-6142 to enroll in Take Charge of Education and designate Waterbury as the beneficiary of your shopping efforts. Then, when you are shopping at Target, use your REDcard (Target® Visa® Credit Card, Target Credit Card or Target Check Card) and Target will donate up to 1% of your purchases to the eligible K–12 school of your choice.

Don't have a REDcard? It’s easy to apply. Get started in person at any Target store or learn more about the REDcard on the Target Web site. And remember, you don't have to open a credit card to earn money for Waterbury from your Target purchases. The Target Check Card enables you to reap all the benefits that credit card holders do including participation in Take Charge of Education while linking directly to your checking account.
